Phone Calls

Phone calls during normal business hours

Our hours for answering the phone are 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. When you phone our office, your call will be answered by our automated attendant, and you will have several options from which to choose so that you can more timely be directed to the employee who can help you best. Many of our employees have voicemail, and you will have the option of leaving a message or returning to the Operator by pressing 0.

Phone calls after business hours

We strongly encourage patients to call our office for medical problems during normal business hours; however, we recognize that problems may arise after business hours. After 4:30 p.m. daily, our answering service will take your name and number and a brief description of your problem and page the on-call doctor with this information.

The doctor will call you back as soon as he is able. Please note that you may be charged for phone calls returned to you after hours. This charge will not be billed to insurance, and you will be directly responsible for payment of this fee.

Prescription refill requests

We request that you call your pharmacy and ask them to fax to us your prescription refill request. Once received in our office, your chart will be pulled, your doctor’s authorization to refill obtained, and the prescription faxed back to your pharmacy.

It is very important that you request your refills during normal business hours. Please note that effective June 1, 2002, there is a fee of $20 for our office phoning in prescription refills after hours. This charge will not be billed to insurance, and you will be directly responsible for payment of this fee.
