Dr. Alvarez grew up in central Ohio where he earned two
degrees from The Ohio State University. He earned his bachelors degree,
graduating with honors in 1993. He completed medical school at OSU in 1998.
He then moved to North Carolina where he completed his
Ob/Gyn residency at Duke University Medical Center. He recently completed a
further year of training as a specialist registrar at Queen Mary's University
Hospital in London, England.
Dr. Alvarez lives in Raleigh with his wife, Eleanor, and
their three daughters. Eleanor is an Ob/Gyn physician at Duke University.
"North Carolina has been a wonderful state as it has
provided me not only excellent training at Duke but also the most wonderful
person in the world-my wife."
In his spare time, Dr. Alvarez enjoys golfing, running,
watching OSU sports and traveling.
Dr. Alvarez is a member of American College of Obstetrics
& Gynecology and North Carolina and Wake County Medical Societies. He
currently serves on the Rex Hospital Credentialing Committee. |
